How often is TOPIK held?
In Korea the test is held about six times a year (roughly January, April, May, July, October and November). Overseas it ranges from two to six times a year depending on the country. Exact dates are published as an annual calendar on the official site early each year.
How to register
- Check the calendar — registration opens about two months before the test date and stays open for only one or two weeks. Popular venues can fill up on day one.
- Create an account and prepare a photo — on the official site (Korea) or with the organisation running the test in your country; you need a passport-style photo file.
- Choose the test and pay — pick TOPIK I or II and your venue, then pay the fee (in Korea roughly 40,000 KRW for TOPIK I and 55,000 KRW for TOPIK II — check the current announcement).
- Print your admission ticket — one to two weeks before the test; check the venue and arrival time. Bring valid ID.
Results and validity
- Results are released on the official site about a month after the test.
- They are valid for two years from the release date.
